Isoplam continuous surface coverings satisfy the most daring aesthetic, stylistic and technical requests of bathrooms designed for contemporary well-being, in which functionality, relaxation and intimacy coexist.
The English term bathroom, literally "bathroom", is more current than ever: the bathroom is no longer a simple service environment, but a room at the center of interior design projects that aim to make it functional and optimized as best as possible, but also personalized.
In fact, from the end of the last century to today, the bathroom has been the protagonist of an extraordinary escalation which, in the contemporary home, has required creativity, quality of materials, new and often tailor-made solutions.
Isoplam creative cements give substance to these needs, combining character, uniqueness, above-average performance and safety. This is how different Isoplam surfaces responded exclusively to the needs of the bathrooms of three different homes: a period residence in the province of Siena, a peasant house in the Venetian area, a new villa not far from Vicenza.
Micro Velvet for the historical-artistic value of a Sienese home
Frescoes from the early 1900s, designer furnishings in intense shades and important materials: it is a period residence in the province of Siena, overlooking the Rocca Aldobrandesca of Piancastagnaio. Involved in an indoor renovation project, to highlight the historical-cultural pre-existences and guarantee the brightness of the rooms, the floors were made with Micro Velvet by Isoplam, a continuous cement-based surface with a velvety effect.
The covering was applied throughout the living area and in the bathroom, without joints and without any interruption of continuity: despite its very reduced thickness, just 3 mm, it ensures, on the one hand, great resistance to impacts and wear , on the other an extraordinary water repellency, fundamental in areas with a high level of humidity such as bathrooms and laundries. Furthermore, the matte texture harmonizes with the artistic traces and gives a useful and pleasant anti-slip effect.
Cosmopolitan evocations in the Venetian countryside
A peasant house from the early twentieth century, a territory to be protected and the desire to give shape to a contemporary space, between design, comfort and quality of living: these are the elements of the recovery project of an ancient farmhouse in the province of Venice, curated by architect Lorenzo Salvaro.
The common denominator of all the rooms is the Skyconcrete Indoor floor by Isoplam, a cementitious covering which in just 3 mm has been able to transform even the bathroom into a high-performance scenographic environment. The continuous surface, with delicate shades, has been customized in finish and color and has excellent adhesion and resistance to impacts, chemical agents, abrasion and cracking. Furthermore, the absence of joints not only makes the environment visually larger and more airy, but limits the formation of mold and facilitates cleaning, for maximum surface hygiene.
PHouse, permeable architecture
The purpose of intertwining the domestic interiors with the external space defines the architectural language of PHouse - a new villa designed by architect Marco Alessi of the TIXA studio, located in the province of Vicenza - where the light plays on the floor made with Deco Nuvolato by Isoplam.
A continuous cement-based surface, characterized by delicate plays of colour, Deco Nuvolato is the perfect synthesis of strength and lightness: the components in cement, quartz and pigments resistant to light and UV rays restore all the character, even in the bathroom identity of the concrete. Alongside the particular technical qualities, the peculiar nuances of the surface, which from a lighter background veer towards darker nuances, evoke an ethereal dimension that dialogues with the glass openings and establishes a material and spatial contact with the external casing.
