The Isoplam flexible rubber sheath is a PVC filler sheath for floor control joints. It is widely used as a filler for contraction cuts in industrial or stamped concrete flooring. Applied immediately after making the cut in the floor, the rubber joint prevents dust and dirt from filling the joints. This way, once the flooring has cured, it can be removed, leaving the cut clean and open to allow for easy insertion of the backing rod and application of the sealant. Using the Isoplam R470001 sheath installation roller, the neoprene sheath can be pressed down to function as a joint backing. The joint cover is available in a wide range of thicknesses and colors. The sheath is also available in a "balloon" version, which features a wider flat upper section to cover any chipping caused by the cutting disc. It stays level with the floor for an extended period without sinking or rising. Additionally, when the cutting disc wears down, there is no need to replace the sheath, as it adapts even to narrower joints. The rubber sheaths are applied using the Isoplam R385001 sheath installation cart.
