Project: on the occasion of the centenary of the Roman Maison, Fendi has renovated its historic Milanese headquarters in Via Solari, in the heart of the fashion district, selecting materials capable of expressing the aesthetic and functional excellence required by the new spaces. For the interior flooring, the choice fell on Skyconcrete® Indoor by Isoplam, a continuous decorative concrete surface that combines minimal elegance, technical performance, and application versatility.
The renovation project, signed by the Marco Costanzi Architects studio, transformed the former Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation – originally a turbine factory and later the artist’s atelier – into a multifunctional space that hosts offices, showrooms, atelier, and event areas. Inside the industrial red brick shell, Skyconcrete® Indoor brings contemporary materiality to the new spaces, guiding visitors along the suspended walkway that connects the building’s various functions.
The refined, cloudy, and irregular effect enhances natural brightness – central to the architectural concept – reflecting light in a soft and diffused manner. The continuous, joint-free surface ensures maximum hygiene and ease of cleaning, in line with the high standards required for representative and work environments. The system’s reduced thickness allowed for application without demolitions, preserving the existing structure and optimizing both time and costs.
